Project: Toy Hauler

Before their installation, they started life on the road in February 2019. In the beginning, they relied on campground hookups for charging and a small 100W panel for the small things. Coming into our shop, they were looking at getting an off-grid package with 1200W of solar when they decided to take advantage of the moment and expand their system to as much as it could stand: a 2000W system!

"We have owned three ATC toy haulers and decided to get into this when I retired from the Marine Corps. Owning a toy hauler enables us to do major hunting trips out west, go on weekend adventures to new destinations without wasting money on hotels or restaurants, and provides peace of mind outside of a neighborhood setting. From 2018-mid 2020, we averaged 20 weekend trips per year and one month long hunting trips.  As of August 2020, we are living full time in our new toy hauler.

We enjoy air conditioning, cooking with various appliances such as the air fryer and Instapot, and our residential refrigerator is not energy efficient. Lithium batteries was the best option to meet our power requirements and we like solar because it provides free battery charges no matter if we are 17 miles off the road, parked next to a friends home, or driving down the road.

After discovering Future Solutions on two YouTube channels, we decided to contact them. Our power requirements are similar to both families we watched and the company seemed customer friendly. There was no pressure, no ego, and no silliness.

The professional approach was our favorite part. Day 1 was the best because the men mapped out a flow chart on a whiteboard that was a detailed electrical plan on how everything would be located and wired in our very unique RV. This was also the first ATC 5th wheel toy hauler Future Solutions had taken on and they took extra time to develop their plan of execution. Two senior personnel were in contact with us weekly for several months leading up to the project and daily during the project. Even now, being 2,000 miles away, the crew is very responsive to our emails and have even had late night calls with us to teach us more effective ways to use our system. Customer support is exceptional.

Everything has been easy and we are not mechanically inclined people. John has been the biggest help as he recognizes our limitations and finds ways to help us understand what he wants us to do to the control panel. It is very nice to have a feature onboard that allows him to remotely monitor and control our system."

Project: Our Back Road Home

Before their installation, they started life on the road in February 2019. In the beginning, they relied on campground hookups for charging and a small 100W panel for the small things.

Coming into our shop, they were looking at getting an off-grid package with 1200W of solar when they decided to take advantage of the moment and expand their system to as much as it could stand: a 2000W system!

During the overhaul on their RV, the truck had truck charging capabilities installed for convenient charging on the go. This will help them live their best off-grid life.

"We are over the moon with how flexible this allows us to be as well as just the convenience of everything working without having to run a generator!" -@OurBackRoadHome
